This 2003 DVD and support notes explore the reasons for individual physiological differences in performance during exercise and sport. The two broad areas covered are gender differences and the differences between trained and untrained individuals. Physical fitness indicators are examined including percentage body fat, upper body size and strength, VO2max, stroke volume, heart rate, cardiac output, haemoglobin and red blood cell count and arteriovenous oxygen difference.
